I started Photographing of the beginning of 2014 shortly after I sold my business and left Margit Publications – a color and trend forecasting company servicing the apparel and home furnishing industry. My photography experience was almost zero when I signed up for a 3 months course with Photo Uono Photography School and with the amazing patience of my teacher I was able to learn the basics of photography.
I attended many workshops with B&H, a photography, video electronic store. Joined now inactive Apple Creative One to One Program, looked at other photographer’s works and visited many art galleries learning compositions, color and light usage.
During my learning experience I met many people who with their encouragement and sometimes discouragement were and still helping me to develop my own style.
In my photography today, my goal is to find visual shapes and color combinations to represent abstract ideas and share them with people who appreciate them.I aim to see behind the traditional imagery of the world, to expose new, perhaps extraordinary views of our everyday lives.
I live in New York City, traveled to South Africa, Galicia Spain, Cancun Mexico and Hungary,
I am a member of Professional Women Photographers (PWP) and Sierra Club NYC groups.
